ABSTRACT

Medicinal plants are natural resource constituting one of the potential sources of bioactive chemical entities for drug development. Traditional medicinal uses of plants offer valuable indication to such drug development. It is estimated that about 60% of the world population and 80% of the population of developing countries rely on traditional medicine for their primary health care needs.[1]
